Wondering how to create Twitter fleets? In this Twitter fleets tutorial, I'll be sharing how you can create a fleeting tweet, which is Twitter's version of Instagram stories, which disappear after 24 hours.
By the end of this video, you'll know exactly how to create disappearing tweets so that you can interact with your Twitter followers in a different way. The Twitter fleets feature currently works via the Twitter app on your phone, be it an iPhone or Android. Some people ask why Twitter fleets are not showing or why Twitter fleets are not working, and that may be because they're trying to create Twitter fleets on desktop instead of on their phone.
To create a new Twitter fleet, open up the Twitter app, and instead of clicking on the Tweet icon on the bottom right of the screen, click on your profile picture on the top left of the screen, which has a plus icon next to it, and the word add below it.
Your Twitter fleet can be composed of text, of which you can change the alignment of, make it bold or not, change whether it has a colored background or not, change the color of, as well as change the entire background color of.
You can also post a photo, including alt text, capture a new photo or video, and share a video, with or without flash, as your Twitter fleet. Once you're done creating your Twitter fleet, click on 'fleet' on the top, right-hand side of the screen.
Just like with Instagram stories, Twitter fleets are live for 24 hours, and then disappear. You can view them at the very top of your Twitter feed, which is why many people call them disappearing tweets or Twitter stories.
