How to Add Youtube Video to Wix Website

In your Wix site editor, click on the Pages drop-down menu on the top left-hand side, and then on Manage Pages at the bottom.

Either choose an existing Wix page to add your YouTube video to, or click on Add New Page at the bottom, which is exactly what I'll do. Choose one of Wix's page templates or click on Add Blank Page, which is what I'll do. Name that new page, such as to “YouTube Video,” and then click on Done.

Now, let's x out of the Site Pages and Menu popup and click on Add Elements on the left-hand side panel. Click on Video and Music, and then under Single Video Players, select YouTube.

From the video player's individual toolbar, click on Change Video. You can either click to Search Videos to find a video on YouTube and add it to your site, or, if you x out of the Search Videos popup, you can paste the direct video’s web address in the space provided. So let's go ahead and do the second option.

Let's head over to YouTube, copy the video link, head back to our Wix editor, and paste the video's web address in the space provided. If we scroll down, we can then edit the playback options.

You can select whether you want this video to autoplay or not, or whether you want this video to play in a loop or not. You can also add a video description in the space provided if you so wish.

If you click on Settings from the video player's individual toolbar, you'll reach this exact same video settings popup. Under Layout, you can change the video layout. You can either select when playing, the controls show on hover, or never.

Under Design, you can change the video design — its fill color and opacity, border, shadow, and text. You can also add animation and effects to your video player if you wish. This includes an animation on entrance, an animation on scroll, or a mouse effect animation.

If you do select an animation, such as Track, you can then click on Customize at the bottom to preview what this animation will look like. Change the motion style, direction, distance, velocity, and movement axis.

To view what this video player looks like in action, click on Preview on the top right-hand side. If everything looks the way you wish, make sure to click on Publish on the top right-hand side to make your changes active.
