Wondering how to create a drop down menu on Wix? In this Wix tutorial, you'll learn how to customize your Wix drop down menu color and Wix drop down menu design to make the most out of your Wix editor web design. So let's get right into this drop down Wix menu video on how to make a website with a drop down menu in Wix.
First off, if you don't have a Wix account yet, just click on the link in the description box below to sign up for free. After you've logged in to your Wix account, hover your mouse over the website you want to create a drop down menu on, and then click on the pencil icon to access its Wix editor.
If you don't have a menu on your Wix website yet, in your Wix Editor, click on 'add' from the left-hand side panel, 'menu and anchor', and then select a menu of your choice from the themed menus, horizontal menus or vertical menus. I'll go ahead and click on a horizontal menu, and drag-and-drop it into my Wix website's header.
To group a number of these pages on your Wix menu, to transform them into a drop down menu on Wix, click on the menu you just added to your Wix website, and then on 'manage menu'. Make sure that you reorder your pages by clicking and dragging them, so that the one that you wish that appears in the menu is up top, and the ones that you wish that appear in the Wix drop down menu are below that.
There are two ways that you can transform any page into a subpage, so that it appears in the Wix drop down menu. The first way is to click on the page that you wish appears in the dropdown menu on Wix and drag it to the right until a connector appears on the left-hand side. You can repeat this same process to add as many pages as you wish to the drop down menu. The second way to transform a page into a subpage is by clicking on the three little dots next to it, and then on 'subpage'.
You can easily turn the subpage from the dropdown menu back into a main page at any time. Either drag that page to the left until the connector disappears or, click on the three little dots next to it, and then on 'main page'.
Now if we click on 'preview' on the top, right-hand side, and hover our mouse over the Wix menu, you'll see the Wix drop down menu appear. Once you're happy with how the drop down menu you created in Wix looks like, click on 'publish' on the top, right-hand side to make your changes active.
