Wondering how to add separate category pages on Wix for your Wix blog? In this Wix blog categories tutorial, you’ll learn how to create and manage categories on your Wix blog.
By the end of this video, you’ll know exactly how to add a new Wix category page and how to manage your blog categories in Wix. First off, if you don't have a Wix account yet, just click on the link in the description box below to sign up for free. Once you've logged in to your Wix account, click on the pencil icon above the website you want to edit the blog categories of to access your Wix editor.
In your Wix editor, click on 'my blog' from the left-hand side panel, and then under 'blog manager' click on 'manage posts'. You can access the same settings from your Wix dashboard, and then clicking on 'blog' from the left-hand side panel.
To add separate category pages on Wix for your Wix blog, click on 'categories' under where it says manage. From the categories panel, you can rename the all posts feed, which is the blog’s main feed that displays all of your posts. You can also view your existing categories, drag-and-drop them to reorder them, click to add an image to them, and click on 'edit' next to each one to edit your Wix blog categories to set the category label, category URL slug, category title, category description and category image.
You can also click on the three little dots next to an existing Wix blog category to delete it. To create a new category, click on the 'new category' button on the top, right-hand side, select the language for this category, click on 'create category', and then fill out the category details we just covered.
To add a blog post to a specific category, select one of the blog posts you created from the published, drafts, or scheduled posts sections. Click on 'categories' from the left-hand side panel, and then choose the appropriate category for your blog post. You can also click to create a new category as well.
Once you're done adding a new Wix category page and managing your blog categories in Wix, click on 'publish' on the top, right-hand side to make your changes active. Now if we preview your Wix blog feed, and click on 'category 3’, for instance, we'll find the blog post we just added to it there.
