Want to add 301 redirects in Wix so that anyone who tries to use an old URL can still reach your webpage? That's exactly what you'll learn in this Wix tutorial. Hi, I’m Marina, and I share simple tutorials for non-techie entrepreneurs as a non-techie entrepreneur.
To add Wix 301 redirects, log in to your Wix account, hover your mouse over the website you wish to add a 301 redirect in Wix on, and then click on 'select site' to access your Wix website's dashboard. If you don't have a Wix account yet, make sure to click on the link in the description box below to sign up for free.
Click on 'marketing & SEO' from the left-hand side panel, and then on 'SEO tools'. Click on the 'URL redirect manager'.
Click on 'new redirect' on the top, right-hand side. Select 'single redirect' to redirect traffic from an old URL to a new URL.
Enter the old URL you’re directing traffic from in the 'old URL' box. To make things easier, Wix will trim the URL if you include the domain.
Add the new URL that you want people to find in the 'new URL' box. Choose a site page from the list or add your own URL. Wix will trim the domain if it redirects to a page on your site, but for external pages, write the entire URL.
Click on 'save' to successfully add your Wix 301 redirect, or click on 'save & add another' to add more 301 redirects in Wix. Once you've added the 301 redirect, hover over it in the list to see options to edit it, view it live to check whether it's set up correctly, or delete it if needed.
