Wondering how to create an Instagram page for business? In this Instagram business account tutorial, I'll be sharing how to create an Instagram business page.
By the end of this video, you'll know exactly how to set up an Instagram business account, and see the exclusive features you can access with an Instagram business profile. If you're starting from scratch and want to both create an Instagram account and an Instagram business page, head over to the Instagram app, and click on 'sign up'. Since I already have an Instagram account, I'll press and hold my profile picture on the bottom right, click on 'add account, and then on 'create new account'. Just follow the steps that populate on the screen in order to set up your new Instagram account.
Once you've created a new Instagram account, that will default to a personal Instagram account. In order to transform your personal Instagram account into an Instagram business account, click on the three little lines on the top right of your Instagram profile, and then on settings. Click on 'switch to professional account'.
With a professional account, you can get access to insights about your followers and account performance, new contact options and more, get insights about your followers and see how your posts are performing, create promotions on Instagram to help reach more people and build your community, as well as add a contact button to your profile to make it easier for people to get in touch with you. Click on 'continue' to start setting up your Instagram business account.
Select a category that best describes what you do from the available options. You can either display this on your Instagram profile or not, and then click on 'done'. Select whether you're a creator or a business, and then click on 'next'. Now you have professional tools to connect with your audience on Instagram as a business account.
If you made a mistake, or decide to switch to an Instagram personal account from the Instagram business account, click on the three little lines on the top right of your Instagram profile, and then on settings. Click on account, and at the bottom, click on 'switch account type'. Here you can switch over to a creator account rather than an Instagram business account, or switch back to a personal account. Click on 'switch to personal' again to confirm.
With an Instagram business account, you'll get access to a number of insights. To access them, head over to your Instagram profile, and then click on 'insights'. You can view the number of Instagram accounts you've reached, the number of content interactions you've had, view data about your audience, as well as on the content you shared, including Instagram posts, stories, IGTV videos and promotional posts or stories.
