How To Delete Your YouTube Channel - Guide For Beginners (Quick & Easy!)

Head over to YouTube, and then click on your profile picture on the top right-hand side. Click on YouTube Studio.



From the left-hand side panel, click on settings and then on channel. Under advanced settings, scroll down and then click on remove YouTube content.


To continue, you need to first verify that it's you by entering your password in the space provided. Once you've done that, click on next.


Select "I want to permanently delete my content." This will permanently delete the YouTube data associated with the specific channel you want to delete.


Select all of the following to confirm that you understand if you continue, the following will be permanently deleted: all of your videos, playlists, comments that you made on YouTube, your replies and thumbs up on comments, your YouTube gift settings, as well as your search and watch history.


Let's select this box over here. Also, you can select to delete any paid subscriptions that you own—example: YouTube Premium, YouTube TV, and channel memberships—to be cancelled. You'll still have access until the end of your billing cycle.


Let's also select the second option, and then click on "delete my content."


A pop-up will appear asking you whether you want to actually delete your content. This will permanently delete all your YouTube content, including all your videos, playlists, likes, subscriptions, comments, messages, search history, and watch history. This data can't be restored.


Please confirm by typing in your channel name. Let's go ahead and do that, and then click on "delete my content."


As you can see, my content is in the process of being permanently deleted. Usually, this takes a few minutes, but can take up to a couple of days if you have a lot of content.
