Wondering how to do image optimization with alt text SEO? In this on page SEO tutorial, you'll learn image SEO to get free traffic to boost your digital marketing efforts. So let's get right into this SEO alt text video on how to increase website traffic with SEO for pictures.
In order to do image optimization with alt text SEO, you first need to know your image's general topic and keywords. For instance, let's say I want to do on page SEO for the image that I'll be adding to my blog post promoting this very video on image SEO.
Before even getting to your website to do image optimization with alt text SEO, make sure that after creating the image you want to do image SEO on, you save it with a keyword-filled name. For instance, the image I'll be adding to my blog has the entire name of this video and blog post, "Image SEO: How To Do Image Optimization With Alt Text SEO (On Page SEO)'.
I personally like using vidIQ to figure out the keywords I'll be adding to the image SEO alt text to get more free website traffic. For more details on how to use vidIQ, make sure to watch my video on 'How To Find Low Competition Keywords For Video Marketing'. I'll leave the link to it in the description box below.
Once you've logged in to your vidIQ account, click on 'keywords' from the panel up top. Click on the search bar, and search for keywords on your image's general topic, in my case, image SEO. I like to sort the overall keyword score from highest to lowest by clicking on the word overall and ensuring that the highest number is up top.
What you then do is copy any keywords that in fact relate to your image's general topic, and paste them into a word processor, for instance, in my case, local SEO, free traffic, image optimization, alt text, optimize images for website, how to get traffic to your website, and so on and so forth.
Once you have that general list of keywords for image SEO and on page SEO, it's time to put them together into sentences. I'm going to read out what I came up with for the image alt text I want to add to my blog post on image SEO: "Wondering how to do image optimization with alt text SEO? In this on page SEO tutorial, you'll learn image SEO to get free traffic to boost your digital marketing efforts. If you don't know what is alt text on an image and want to get free website traffic by editing the image filename SEO, image alt text and alt attributes, this video on how to optimise images for SEO is for you. So let's get right into this SEO alt text video on how to increase website traffic with SEO for pictures".
After you've written out your SEO alt text, it's time to open up your website creation platform to do image optimization with alt text SEO. I personally use Wix, which you can try out for free by clicking on the link in the description box below. I'll first be showing you how to do image SEO for an image in a blog post, and then for an image on your website.
Once in your Wix sites dashboard, locate the website you wish to do image SEO for, hover your mouse over it, and then click on 'select site'. Click on 'blog' from the left-hand side panel, and then on 'scheduled' if you've already created your Wix blog post.

Locate the blog post you want to do on page SEO on, in my case, the blog post on image SEO: how to do image optimization with alt text SEO, and then click on it. Click on the image you wish to do image SEO on, and then click on the settings gear icon from its individual toolbar.
In this alt text section, paste the keyword-filled piece of text you created to push your pages higher up on search results and boost your SEO, and then click on 'save' at the bottom. Make sure you either click on 'publish' on the top, right-hand side or on the downward pointing arrow next to publish and then on 'reschedule or schedule post' to make your on page SEO changes active.
To do image optimization with alt text SEO on an image on your website rather than on an image on your blog post, click on 'Wix' on the top, left-hand side, locate the website you wish to do image SEO for, hover your mouse over it, and then click on the pencil icon to access the Wix editor.
Click on the pages dropdown menu on the top, left-hand side, and select the page you wish to do image SEO on. Once on that page, click on the image which you want to add alt text to, and then click on the settings gear icon from its individual toolbar.
Scroll down until you reach this image text section, and then under this 'what's in the image? Tell Google' section, paste the keyword-filled piece of text you created to improve your site's SEO and accessibility. After you've done image optimization with alt text SEO to all of the images on your website, remember to click on publish on the top, right-hand side to make your changes active.
