Have you been wondering how to download Instagram videos so that you can save videos from Instagram on your Android or on your iPhone? In this video, I'll show you how to save Instagram videos to your camera roll with ease.
By the end of this video, you'll know exactly how to download Instagram videos so that you can save videos from Instagram to your photo gallery on any device. Just a few months ago we could download Instagram videos by using the Repost for Instagram app, but they recently removed the function to save videos to your camera roll. As such, we need to do a little workaround, but it's still possible to save videos from Instagram on your iPhone and on Android to your camera roll, so this process works on any device you're using.
Head over to your phone settings, click on 'control center' and then on 'customize controls'. Even though I'm showing you how to do this on an iPhone, the process is the same if you have an Android. Make sure that the 'screen recording' option is in the 'include' section, by clicking on the green plus sign if it's in the 'more controls' section.
Now head over to Instagram, and locate an Instagram video you wish to download to your photo gallery. Drag down the screen from the top-right to access the control center, and then press and hold the screen recording icon. Select where you wish the Instagram video you want to download to be saved to, so either to your photo gallery, to Skype or to Messenger, and toggle whether you wish the microphone to be turned on or off.
Tap anywhere around your screen to exit the screen recording settings, and then click on the screen recording icon again. A 3-2-1 countdown will appear, and you'll know your screen recording started since your clock will turn red.
Record the entire Instagram video you wish to save to your camera roll, and then click on the clock up top, and then on 'stop' on the popup that appears, to stop the screen recording. The screen recording video will be saved to your photo gallery.
When you open it up, you can click on 'edit' up top to trim the beginning and end when you're clicking to start and finish the recording, as well as to crop the screen so that just your Instagram video is saved.
