Claude Canva Integration: How To Use Claude + Canva - Claude AI Tutorial + Canva Tutorial - AI Tools

To use Claude and Canva, head over to Claude, click on customize from the left-hand side panel. Click on connectors under this customize section, and then use the search bar up top to search for Canva.



Once the Canva connector populates, click on connect under status. A pop-up will appear saying Claude would like to access your Canva account. It will show you the email associated to the Canva account you usually use. And if you wish to switch Canva accounts to something else, click on switch accounts over here.


Link Claude and allow Canva to share. Read your asset metadata. Upload, modify, and delete your assets. Read metadata from your team's brand kits. Read the content of your team's brand templates. Publish brand templates to your team. Read metadata for your team's brand templates. Read comments on designs. Post comments on designs. Read your design content. Create designs. Read your design metadata. Read your email address. Read your folders. Upload, modify, and delete your folders. Get help with designing in Canva. And read your user profile and account information.


Go ahead and click on allow at the bottom. As you can see, the authorization has been successful. Claude is now connected to Canva, which you can see over here in the status, that there is a check mark.


So, how do we go about using Canva and Claude together? Let's X out of this popup. Head over to a new chat. Click on the plus sign on the bottom left hand side. Head over to connectors, and make sure that the Canva connector is turned to on.


In this new Claude chat, type in what you would like Canva to create: Please use Canva to create an Instagram post promoting my new video on how to use Claude and Canva.


Remember, be as specific as possible so that Claude can come up with something that will actually suit your needs and wants. You can even ask Claude to ask me guiding questions so you can come up with the best design possible.


Claude is asking us, "What's your primary goal for this post? Drive video views or clicks, build community or engagement, promote my channel or brand, or educational or showcase expertise, or even something else?"


I'm going to click on drive video views or clicks.


Now, Claude is asking us, "What's the main tone you want? Professional and polished, friendly and approachable, bold and eye-catching, minimalist and clean, or something else."


I'm going to select bold and eye-catching.


Claude is now asking us, do you have brand colors or a style guide I should follow? Yes, I'll share them. Use Canva’s recommendations, keep it versatile or neutral, match Claude or Canva branding, or something else.


I'm going to select match Claude or Canva branding.


Lastly, Claude is asking us what aspects of the video should be the main focus. The practical benefits or how-to angle, how Claude and Canva work together, the creative results or outcome, or let me play up the video itself.


I'm going to select the practical benefits or how-to angle.


Claude said, "Perfect. Based on your answers, I'll create a bold, eye-catching Instagram post that drives clicks to your Claude and Canva video tutorial. Let me generate some design options for you."


As you can see, Claude has now integrated with Canva, and it's finalizing the designs. This can take up to 1 minute.


Here are a few options that Claude came up with. If you enjoy one of these options, such as this one over here, just click on it, and then click on open in Canva to be redirected from Claude to Canva after you click on open link, so that you can further customize your design.


Just like with any regular Canva designs, you can click on the background, on text, on images, and on any individual items, and then customize them from their individual toolbars. or you can click on any one of these options over here on the left to add additional elements, text, and more to your Canva design.


Once you're happy with the design that both Claude and Canva came up with, click on share on the top right hand side, and then on download. Select your design settings, and then click on download again to save the design that Claude and Canva came up with to your computer.
