So in this animated stories tutorial I'll show you how to insert animations on Instagram stories by using animated Instagram stories templates by using the Canva animation feature.

First off, if you don't have a Canva account yet, just click on the link in the description box below to create one for free.
After you've logged in to your Canva account, click on the search bar, and search for 'Instagram story'. Canva has a number of Instagram story templates that you can customize, or if you prefer, you can select a blank template to start from scratch. Don't worry too much which Instagram story template you choose since you can always change it later.
Once you've selected an Instagram story design to customize, click on it to edit it. As you can see, some of these Instagram story templates already have animations added to them. You can either replace this animated Instagram stories template's design background color and photos to fit your own, and download it as is, or click on 'elements' from the left-hand side panel to add your own Instagram story animations.
To do so, scroll down until you locate the stickers section, and then click on 'see all'. There are a number of different stickers, or animations, that you can add to your Instagram story, such as arrow animations, word animations, food animations, shape animations, emoji animations, festive animations and social media animations. Let's edit this Instagram story template by adding a few more animations to it.
Once you've finished customizing your animated Instagram story design, rename your design up top, and then click on the download button to download your animated Instagram story either as a video or a GIF.
