How To Convert JPG To Word Document | How To Convert Image To Word Document: Image To Word Converter

Have you been wondering how to convert an image into a Word document? In this video, I'll show you how to convert a photo of a sheet of text into text that you can easily edit in Microsoft Word.

By the end of this video, you'll know exactly how to convert a JPG file, i.e. an image, to a MS Word file, i.e. to text, so that you can convert an image to text in iPhone, Android and PC. So the first thing you'll need to do is take a picture with your phone of the sheet of text you wish to convert into a Word Document. Your phone will automatically save that sheet of text into a JPG file image.

Once you've done that, send yourself that photo from your phone to your computer. I'll leave the link to it up here and in the description box below.

Now on your computer, open up Microsoft Word. Either drag and drop the image you wish to convert to editable text into Microsoft Word, or click on 'insert' up top, 'pictures', 'picture from file', locate the photo you just uploaded to your computer, and then click on 'insert'.

To convert this photo into editable text, we'll now need to save it as a PDF. To do that, click on 'file' up top, 'save as', rename your document, such as to convert image to text, and then under the 'file format' dropdown, select 'PDF' rather than 'Word Document', and then click on 'export'.

Now what we'll do is open up that PDF we just saved in Word since when we do that, Word automatically converts PDF documents into editable text. To do that, click on 'file' up top, 'open', locate the 'convert image to text' file you just saved, and then click on 'open'.

A popup will appear asking you if you allow online file conversion to open and export to certain types of files, so go ahead and click on 'allow'. Word will now convert this file into editable text, and now you can add your own text alongside it, or delete some bits and pieces altogether.

You can also follow this same process to convert an image to text using the Microsoft Office app on your iPhone or on your Android, so either head over to the App Store or to the Play Store to download the Microsoft Office app on your phone.

Once you've opened up the Microsoft Office app, click on 'actions' from the bottom, right-hand side. As you can see, one of the actions it offers is convert 'image to text' by extracting text from your picture, so go ahead and click on that.

You can either take a photo of the image you want to convert into text, or click on the photo icon on the bottom left to upload one from your pictures. Once you have taken or uploaded the image you wish to convert into text, click on 'done' on the bottom right.

The Microsoft Office app is now going to process your request, and extract the text from your image so that it becomes fully editable. Once it has completed the process, you'll be able to see the image you uploaded up top and all the text it has extracted from your image at the bottom.

You can either click on 'copy' to copy this editable text and paste it into an email or into your notes app, or you can click on 'share' to send this editable text via AirDrop, in a Message, in an email, or to any other app of your choice.
