Wondering how to add comments to your new Wix blog? In this Wix blog tutorial, you'll learn how to make the most of your Wix blog post design by including Wix blog comments. So let's get right into this Wix tutorial for beginners on how to create a blog in Wix that is engaging by using the comments plugin.
First off, if you don't have a Wix account yet, just click on the link in the description box below to sign up for free. To add comments to your new Wix blog, log in to your Wix account, hover your mouse over the website you wish to add comments to, and then click on the pencil icon to edit your site.
In your Wix editor, click on the pages dropdown menu on the top, left-hand side, and then on 'manage pages' at the bottom. In the site pages menu, click on 'blog pages' on the left-hand side, and then on 'post'.
Click on your blog post to access its individual toolbar, and then on 'settings'. From the Wix blog post settings menu, click on 'display' on the left-hand side, and scroll down until you reach the 'comments' section.
Toggle the buttons so that 'enable comments' is turned on. By just enabling comments, your Wix blog visitors will have to sign up to your Wix blog and become a website member in order to leave a comment.
If you wish to enable comments from everyone, without them having to become your site members first, toggle this 'enable guest comments' button so that it's on. By turning on guest comments, you may see more spam or malicious content.
If you wish to add a third party comment app to your new Wix blog, rather than these Wix comments, disable comments from the Wix blog post settings menu, and then x out of this menu. Click on 'add apps' from the left-hand side menu, and then use the search bar to search for 'blog comments'.
The Wix app market has three blog comment applications available: epic comments, comments and reviews, and comments. To add any of these comment apps to your Wix blog, click on the one of your choice, and then on 'add to site'.
Once you're happy with how your Wix blog with comments looks like, click on 'save' and then on 'publish' on the top, right-hand side to make your changes active.
