Hover Box Wix: FAST & EASY Wix Hover Box Tutorial - Wix Tutorial For Beginners

I'm going to show you how to create a hover box in Wix. I'm trying something new where I show you these tutorials in real time without any edits, so let me know what you think about this in the comments down below.

So once you enter your Wix site dashboard, click on Edit Site from the bottom left-hand side. This will take you to the Wix website editor.

Once there, click on the Pages drop-down menu on the top left-hand side, and then either select one of the pages where you want to add the hover box to, or click on Manage Pages at the bottom and then on Add New Page to add a new page where you'll be adding the hover box to.

You can either select one of Wix's page templates or click on Add New Blank Page on the top left-hand side, which is exactly what I'll do. After you do that, name that new page something like “hover box” and then click on Done.

Let's x out of the site pages and menu and then click on this page here to start editing it. Let's click on Add Elements from the left-hand side and then on Box. From here, select Hover Boxes, and then choose any of the Wix hover box options that will fit your needs.

Let's select this one over here that says "Sale." Once you're here, you can click on any of these options from the panel up top to either change the design elements, add an animation effect, or change the hover interaction.

Let's go over each one.

Under Change Design, you can change the design of this box to something else, or click on Customize Design at the bottom to change the fill color and opacity, the border, the corners, as well as the shadow of this Wix hover box. You'll be taken to the exact same place when you click on Design.

Under Animation and Effects, you can add an animation to this Wix hover box. This can be an animation on entrance, on loop, on scroll, or even on mouse effects.

Lastly, under Hover Interaction, you can edit the interaction when visitors hover over this Wix hover box. All you have to do is click on Edit Interaction and then click on Play up top under this container box. This will show you exactly what the hover box effect will look like.

If you wish to customize that effect, you can click on Choose Effect and change the effect from the options that appear. Click on Design again to change the fill color and opacity, border, corners, and shadow from the hover effect. Click on Timing to edit the duration, delay, and easing of the Wix hover effect, as well as click on Hide Element to change what you want to hide on the Wix hover effect.

To add that back, click on Show Element.

With a Wix hover box, you can also click on Add to Hover to add any elements, including text, buttons, images, and more, to your Wix hover effect.

Once you're done editing the Wix hover effect, click on Exit Hover Mode.

Now, if you click on Preview on the top right-hand side and place your mouse over the hover box, we can see the Wix hover effect in action.

If you're happy with how this Wix hover effect looks, click on Publish on the top right-hand side to make your changes active.
