Have you been looking for free music for YouTube videos? In this video, I'll show you how to get copyright free music for YouTube videos.
By the end of this video, you'll know exactly where to find the best royalty free music for YouTube videos so that you can add free background music to your videos that's non copyrighted. YouTube actually has a complete music library with free music for YouTube videos. To access it, on YouTube, click on your icon on the top, right-hand side, and then on 'YouTube studio'. Scroll down on the panel on the left and then click on 'audio library'.
You can browse and download free music for your YouTube videos from this audio library. The best part is that you’re free to use these audio tracks in any of your videos since they're all copyright free.
You can search the audio catalog by keyword, artist name and song title, or use filters that sort through the royalty free music for YouTube videos by track title, genre, mood, artist name and duration. Each copyright free music track will also tell you into which one of these categories it belongs. New audio tracks are added every month, and you can sort the audio library by date added, so make sure to come back and browse the latest free music for YouTube videos.
You can click on the play icon next to any of these free music options to play the audio track, and when you've found the free background music you want to add to your YouTube video, click on the downward pointing arrow to download the audio track to your computer.
Now that you've saved the free background music that you want to use, it's time to add it to your YouTube video. Open up iMovie or any other video editing platform that you use. Select the video file you want to add your copyright free music to, and then click on the downward pointing arrow up top to import a new file.
Locate the free background music you just downloaded from YouTube's audio library, and then click on 'import selected'. Drag and drop the free music track right below the video clip where you want the background music to start.
You can drag this horizontal line in the middle of your audio track up or down to increase or decrease its volume, you can right click anywhere on your audio track and split the clip so that it starts and stops exactly when you want it to, and you can bring in these little dots on either side of the audio track to fade in and fade out the free background music.
