Want to make money online with social media marketing but don't know where or how to start? In this video, I'll show you exactly how to do that with a Facebook shop. Hi, I’m Marina, and my goal is to help you say "Yes To Tech" by sharing simple tutorials for non-techie entrepreneurs.
In order to create a Facebook shop, you'll need a Facebook business page. If you don't have a Facebook business page yet, make sure to watch my video on 'How To Create A Facebook Business Page' to set one up. I'll leave the link to it in the description box below.
If you want to make your Facebook shop visible on Instagram, you’ll also need an Instagram business account. To set one up if you don't already have one, make sure to watch my video on 'How To Create Instagram Business Page'. I'll also leave the link to it in the description box below.
To do a Facebook shop setup, open up the Facebook business page you wish to connect your Facebook shop to, and then click on 'manage shop' from the left-hand side panel. Click on 'start shop setup'.
There are a few steps to complete before you can start selling with a Facebook shop. You need to choose a checkout method, provide your business details and add your inventory. To continue with the Facebook shop setup, click on 'next'.
Choose a Facebook shop checkout method. Your checkout method determines where customers convert when they want to buy an item from your shop. Setting up checkout is free.
You can either have your Facebook shop customers checkout on another website, where customers will be directed to your website from an item's details page on Facebook, or checkout with messaging, where customers will be directed to Messenger, Instagram Direct or WhatsApp to arrange payment.
Independent of the Facebook shop checkout option you choose, you won't be charged extra fees. Once you've selected a checkout option, click on 'next'.
Connect a business account to continue with your Facebook shop setup. Your business account gives you access to Commerce Manager, where you can customize your shop, manage inventory and get business insights.
As you can see, my account has already been selected. All you have to do is enter your business email in the space provided, and then click on 'next'.
Create a catalog to continue with your Facebook shop setup. Your catalog is an inventory of the items you'd like to sell. Create a catalog so you can add items to your shop. Name your catalog, click on the box to agree to the Catalog Manager terms and abide by Facebook's advertising policies, and then click on 'next'.
Once you have completed the Facebook shop setup process, you'll now be able to use the Facebook Commerce Manager to manage products and collections, build your brand and get valuable insights to help you reach more customers. When you click on 'add products', you can then click on 'add items' to add multiple items or add one item.
When you click on 'add one item', you can then add that item's main image, title, description, website link, price, toggle whether this item is on sale or not, condition and category, and then click on 'finish' to add it to your Facebook shop.
