Ever wanted to create a captivating whiteboard animation but thought it was too complicated? Well, think again! In this video, I'm going to show you how to easily create a stunning whiteboard animation using Canva, even if you're a complete beginner. Trust me, it's easier than you think!
But before we get started, let me show you what you're going to create by the end of this video. Check this out! Pretty awesome, right? First things first, open up Canva and create a new design. Make sure to choose the custom dimensions that suit your needs, such as video.
Now, let's search for the perfect character to include in our whiteboard animation. Click on the "Elements" tab on the left sidebar, and in the search bar, type in "character."
Canva provides a wide variety of characters for your animations. Feel free to browse through and pick the one that resonates with your story. To add a character to your Canva whiteboard animation, just click on it, and resize and reposition it so that it looks the way you wish.
With our character in place, it's time to add some text. Click on the "Text" tab from the sidebar and select a text element. For that classic whiteboard animation feel, let's choose a comic-style font. If you want, change the text color, and resize and reposition it so that it looks the way you wish.
Now, here comes the fun part—animation! We're going to make our character and text come to life.
Select your character, and head over to the "Animations" tab on the top menu. Canva offers a bunch of cool animation effects. Experiment with them to see which one suits your story best.
Then, select your text, and head over to the "Animations" tab on the top menu once more. Feel free to select the same or a different animation to add to your Canva whiteboard design. You can also adjust the entire length of the whiteboard animation by dragging the handles at the bottom either to the right or left.
See how easy that was? Now, if your whiteboard animation in Canva has multiple pages or scenes, you can easily repeat this process. Simply duplicate the page and make adjustments to the animation and text as needed.
You can also add transitions to your Canva whiteboard animation. Just place your cursor between two pages, and then click on transition. Canva offers a bunch of cool transitions that you can choose from. Feel free to add a different transition between each page, or apply the same one between all pages.

Once you're satisfied with all your pages, make sure to review your animation. Play it through a few times to ensure it flows smoothly. Then, rename your design up top, and click on the download button. Make sure that the mp4 file type is selected, and then click on download again to save your Canva whiteboard animation to your computer.
