To add Parallax scrolling to your Wix website, you first need to add a strip. To do so, in your Wix editor, click on "Add Elements" from the left-hand side panel, and then on "Strip".
This strip can either be a color, a video, or an image. Let's click on this Wix strip over here to add Parallax scrolling to it. The first thing we can do is click on "Change Strip Background" to change it to another color, image, or video of your choice. Let's go ahead and select "Image", and then search for an image from Media from Wix.
Once you've found an image you want to add Wix Parallax scrolling to, click on it and then on "Change Background". To add Parallax scrolling to this Wix strip, make sure that the strip is selected, and from its individual toolbar up top, click on "Background Scroll Effects".
There are a number of scroll effects that you can add to your Wix strip, including Parallax, reveal, 3D, skew, closeup, fade back, pull back, rotate, pan right, pan left, zoom in, zoom out, fade in, and fade out. To add Parallax scrolling, go ahead and click on "Parallax".
In order to view this Parallax scrolling effect in action, click on "Preview" from the top right-hand side. Now, when we scroll down, you'll be able to view that Parallax effect in action.
To make these changes active on your Wix website, make sure to click on "Publish" on the top right-hand side. Now, let's click on "Back to Editor" and delete this Wix strip, so that I can show you how to add a parallax effect to your entire page background in Wix instead.
This time, instead of selecting "Add Elements" from the left-hand side panel, click on "Site Design" instead. Select "Page Background", and just as before, choose a color, image, or video of your choice, such as this one over here.
Now, click on "Settings", and under where it says "Scroll Effects", select "Parallax". Just as before, let's click on "Preview" on the top right-hand side to view this Parallax effect in action again.
Once you're happy with how your Parallax scrolling effect looks like, click on "Publish" on the top right-hand side to make your changes active.
