In this video, I'll show you step-by-step how to create a Google Analytics 4 property and connect it to your Wix website
Step 1: Create a Google Analytics 4 Property
Once you're logged in to your Google Analytics account, click on 'admin' on the left, and then on 'create property'. Add your property details, including its name, reporting time zone and currency, and then click on 'next'.
Describe your business by entering your industry category and business size, and then click on 'next'. Choose your business objectives from the available options, and then click on 'create'.
Step 2: Get Your Measurement ID
To get your measurement ID, go back to your Google Analytics 4 property under 'admin' and click on the "Data Streams" tab. Then click on the "Web" data stream to see the "Measurement ID" displayed on the next screen.
Copy your measurement ID to your clipboard, as you'll need to enter it into your Wix website in the next step.
Step 3: Connect Google Analytics 4 to Wix
Now that you have your measurement ID, it's time to connect Google Analytics 4 to your Wix website. To do this, you'll need to log in to your Wix account.
Once you're logged in, click on 'Marketing & SEO' and then on "Marketing Integrations" on the left-hand menu. Click on 'View' under 'Google Analytics'. Click on the three little dots in the top right corner, and then on 'Edit'.
Next, you'll need to enter your measurement ID in the field provided. Make sure that there are no extra spaces before the code. If you wish, select the IP Anonymization checkbox to hide your site visitors’ IP addresses from Google.
Once you've entered your measurement ID, click on the "save" button to connect your Google Analytics 4 property to your Wix website.
Step 4: Start Tracking Your Website's Performance
Now that you've connected your Google Analytics 4 property to your Wix website, you can start tracking your website's performance and gathering data on your visitors.
To view your website's analytics, go back to your Google Analytics 4 property and click on the "Home" tab on the left-hand menu.
By implementing these steps, you'll be able to track your website's performance and make data-driven decisions to improve your online presence.
