To add a custom member login and Page restrictions in Wix, log into your Wix account and then click on "Add" from the left-hand side panel. Click on "Community," then on "Members," and then "Add to Site."
A pop-up will appear saying that a Wix members area is being added to your website. Wix will automatically redirect you to your member profile card when you click on that and then on "Settings."
You can customize your member profile card, including main text layout, display, design, and badges. At the bottom, you can click on "My Account" and then on "Settings" to customize the account's main settings, texts layout, and design.
When you click on the login bar, you can then click on "Setup Login Bar" from its individual toolbar to select its layout, what the login bar says before login, as well as what the logout message is.
Under the "Manage" menu, you can customize the options your Wix site's members will be able to access, including "My Bookings," "My Wallet," "My Account," or a new menu item of your choice.
Under "Layout," you can customize the login bar layout, including the Avatar size, Arrow icon, and dropdown.
Under "Design," you can edit the login bar design, including the fill color and opacity, border corner shadow, and text of what it looks like under the regular appearance, cover appearance, and selected appearance.
You can also add an animation to your login bar if you wish.
Now, if we click on the "Pages" drop-down menu on the top left-hand side and then "Manage Pages," you'll notice that there is a "Members Area" section under your site pages and menu. When you click on the "Actions" button, you'll be able to customize your member pages' settings, add a member page, view site members, edit profiles' privacy access, the member sign-up settings, access advanced URL settings, as well as delete the members' area.
From here, you can also click on the three little dots to access the settings as well as the SEO basics of your member pages, including "My Account," "My Bookings," and "My Wallet." Now, if you click on "Sign Up and Login" from the site pages and menu, you can then click on "Member Sign Up Form" to customize what that looks like.
From here, you can select which member signup form your visitors are able to see, either a default form or a custom form. To select the default form, you can then customize its General options, including which option shows first, "New Member Sign Up," or "Existing Member Login."
Under "Social and Community," you can enable or disable Google login, enable or disable Facebook login, as well as select whether you wish to enable sign-up to the site with a public profile or not.
Under "Policies," you can add a link to your site's terms of use as well as to your site's privacy policy.
When we click on "Member Login Form," you can also select which member login form your visitor sees, either a default form or a custom form.
Under "General," you can select which option shows first, either a new member sign-up or existing member login.
Under "Social and Community," you can enable or disable Google login as well as Facebook login.
If you wish to add paid restrictions in Wix, click on "Site Menu" from your site pages and menu. Locate the page you want to add a page restriction to, such as this embedded site. Click on the three little dots next to it and then on "Settings."
Under "Permissions," select who can view this page, either "Everyone," "Password Holders," where only visitors with a password can view this page. Just make sure to remember to select what the password is, or "Members Only," where visitors need to sign up as we had shown in this section over here to see this page.
You can then select which members can access this page, either all members or only selected members or paying customers. Once you're done adding a custom member login and page restrictions in Wix, make sure to click on "Publish" on the top right-hand side to make your changes active.
