Want to enable dark mode on Instagram? In this video, I'll show you how to turn Instagram dark mode, or Instagram night mode as some people call it, on since it's easier on your eyes due to the lowered contrast levels.
By the end of this video, you'll know exactly how to activate Instagram dark mode on your iPhone and on Android so that you can view your Instagram account with a black background rather than with a white one. There are two ways that you can enable dark mode on Instagram, and the interesting thing is that neither one of them are located inside of Instagram's settings. Just as a side note, your iPhone needs to be operating on iOS 13 or higher in order for you to be able to activate dark mode.
The first way you can turn on dark mode on Instagram on your iPhone is by dragging down your screen from the top right-hand side to access the control center, press and hold the brightness control, and turn on dark mode by clicking on the 'dark mode' setting on the bottom left. Now if you open up Instagram, you'll notice that dark mode has been enabled.
The second way you can turn on dark mode on Instagram on your iPhone is by clicking on 'settings', 'display and brightness', and then switching the appearance from 'light' to 'dark'. Again, once you do that, if you open up Instagram, you'll notice that dark mode has been enabled.
To turn on dark mode on Instagram on Android, you basically have to follow the same steps as on an iPhone. Click on 'settings', 'display' and then under 'theme' you'll be able to enable dark mode on your phone, which in turn, turns on dark mode on Instagram.
