In today's video I'm going to be sharing with you how to create a YouTube subscribe link. This is great if you want to get more subscribers to your YouTube channel in a fast and easy way.
We'll be creating a custom subscribe link for your YouTube channel by adding some simple code to your YouTube URL, so that when you direct your audience to your YouTube channel, instead of having them land on your general YouTube page, where they can subscribe, watch a YouTube video or end up on someone else's YouTube channel, they have a popup appear when they click on your YouTube subscribe link, which triggers them to subscribe to your YouTube channel before browsing anything else.

The first thing you'll need is to get your YouTube channel URL. To do so, on YouTube, click on your icon on the top, right-hand side, and then click on 'your channel'. Copy the URL and paste it into a Word processor, such as Microsoft Word, Pages or Google Docs. Now add this bit of code to the end of your YouTube channel URL: ?sub_confirmation=1.
What happens now is that when someone clicks on this link, a popup will appear asking your visitor to confirm channel subscription, where they need to either subscribe or press cancel to continue on to your YouTube channel. This way you'll easily get more YouTube subscribers to your YouTube channel since they need to take action before proceeding.
Since this link we just created is long and includes a number of characters that don't make much sense and that aren't memorable, in order to make this YouTube subscribe link even more shareable to boost your subscriber count, a tip is to shorten it with bit.ly. If you don't have a bit.ly account yet, the link to it is in the description box below.
To shorten the YouTube subscribe link, all you have to do is click on 'create' then on 'link' and paste your long URL in the space provided. Then edit the end part of the bit.ly link so that it's easier to remember, such as mine which is 'youtubeyestotech'.
Now when you provide a call to action for someone to subscribe to your YouTube channel, which already includes this custom YouTube subscribe link, you can say 'just go to bit.ly/youtubeyestotech', which is both easier to say and remember than https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyr' and so on and so forth.
