1. Affiliate Marketing

If you don’t have a product of our own to sell, but still want to make money online, affiliate marketing is the way to go. There are a number of affiliate marketing programs for you to choose from, all applicable to the specific niche you’re in. The secret to succeed at affiliate marketing is to treat your affiliate promotions as if they were a promotion of your own product or service. When promoting your online course, for instance, you wouldn’t just post one blog post about it, and then expect your audience to purchase it.

Instead, you’d create multiple blog posts, video tutorials, social media posts, and email broducasts to get the word out as much as possible. Do the same for your affiliate marketing promotions, and you’ll be making money online in no time.

Workbooks, printables, and other items that can be easily downloadable are a great source for you to make money online. These types of digital downloads can range from a one page PDF, to PDFs with multiple pages, that your clients can print or fill out online.

The best part about creating workbooks, printables or other downloadable digital products is that they can be something that you’re already using in your own life, or selling in another way. 3. Templates

Creating and selling a template is great way to make money online, because it can encompass a number of things. No matter if you’re a visually creative person, or a great writer, you can sell templates related to your expertise to make money online.

If you’re a visually creative person, you can create a design or graphic template (like a Pinterest graphic template, a slide deck template, or a stock photo template), and sell those for $5 a piece, up to $100 for a bundle. Those who aren’t design-savvy are always in search of visually-appealing templates that’ll help them stand out online, without much work on their part.

If you’re a great writer, you can create a content or copy template (like an email template, a blog post template, or a guest post proposal template). If you’re tech savvy, creating a tech training tutorial is a great way to make money online. Just think about the tech software that you use day to day in your online business, like in my case ConvertKit, Wix, Canva, Viraltag, Leadpages, and Interact Quiz Builder, and create step-by-step, easy-to-follow video screenshare tutorials guiding someone who isn't tech-savvy on how to use it.

Although the tech software company you use may have a YouTube channel, or may even offer a knowledge base with video on how to use their software, your tech training is still essential since it offers specific ways on how to use that software to achieve a particular result. For instance, in my Webinar Sales Funnel Template that I mentioned above, I offer a tech training tutorial on ConvertKit, explaining how to remove a subscriber from a webinar sales sequence.

To create tech training tutorials, you can use a screen capture software like Quicktime to record your screen, an editing tool like iMovie to edit your tech training, and an online course software like Teachable to sell your training.

Whereas you’ll probably be selling the other items on this list for up to $300, an online course can be sold for $1000+.

An online course is all-encompassing, and should include multiple pieces of content, like written content, video tutorials, digital downloads, and tech trainings. With an online course, your aim should be to make your target audience’s life easier, or to help them achieve their goals faster.

The best part is that you don’t need to create a massive online course to get stellar results. Sometimes, an online course that is shorter and more specific (for instance, Pinterest marketing vs social media marketing at large), is what will get you the best results.
