Since I plan in advance all of the blog posts, video tutorials, email broadcasts, webinars and promotions that I do, it’s easy to know when each piece of content needs to be promoted on social media. So if you login to Viraltag, and click this plus sign on the top, left-hand side, you’ll be able to bulk schedule all of your social media posts for all of the platforms that you’ve connected to Viraltag. You can add new content to just one of your platforms, or to multiple platforms at the same time.

So how does creating a content calendar for social media work on Viraltag? Let’s do this together step-by-step. Say that I want to pre-schedule my content for next Tuesday, comprised of one Pinterest pin, one Instagram image, and one Facebook post. To do so, click on ‘upload images’, then on ‘select images / videos from computer’, locate the images that you want to schedule, and click on ‘open’. It’s best if all of the images you want to upload are saved in the same folder.

Once the files have been uploaded to Viraltag, you’ll notice that the bulk editor opens up automatically. From here, select the social media platform that you’d like to add your images to, so this one is Pinterest, this one is Instagram, and this one is Facebook, insert your caption or description, the source URL, which is where you want the image to link to, toggle whether you want this post to be evergreen, in other words, if you want it to be automatically recycled and used over and over again so you never run out of content, and if you’d like to add it to a particular category. Remember, if you’re adding a pin to Pinterest, you need to select all of the boards you want to add your pin to.

When you’re done making edits, click on ‘schedule’ on the bottom, right-hand side, select the date and time you want your posts to be published, and if you want there to be an interval between posting times, and then click ‘ok’. To make your pre-scheduled social media content calendar active, go ahead and click on ‘schedule’.

And that’s it! Now you know how to create a content calendar for social media using Viraltag.
