Wondering how to sell digital products in Wix? In this Wix sell digital downloads tutorial, you’ll learn how to add a digital file to your online store in Wix.
By the end of this video, you’ll know exactly how to sell digital downloads in Wix to start using Wix to make money online. First off, if you don't have a Wix account yet, just click on the link in the description box below to sign up for free. Once you've logged in to your Wix account, click on the pencil icon above the website you want to sell digital products in, to access your Wix editor.
In your Wix editor, click on 'my store' from the left-hand side panel to start setting up your digital product in Wix. If you don't know how to add an online store to Wix, make sure to watch my video on 'how to accept payments on Wix + add an online store in Wix'. I'll leave the link to it in the description box below.
In order to accept payments in Wix, regardless of whether it's a physical product or digital product, you'll need to upgrade to an eCommerce premium plan. However, you can set up your online store even if you don't have an eCommerce premium plan.
So let's go ahead and click on the 'store manger' tab and then on 'add products' to start adding products, creating collections and organizing your inventory to sell digital downloads in Wix. Under this 'products' menu, you'll be able to view all of the existing products you've already added to your Wix online store.
To create a new digital product to add to your online store, click on the '+ new product' button on the top, right-hand side, and then select 'digital file'. Name your product, click on 'upload file' to add your digital file to your Wix website, such as an image, audio file, document or zip file, your customers will receive links to download their digital products in the thank you page, as well as by email, add the product info, including the name, ribbon, and price, toggle whether this digital file is on sale or not, add a description, images, videos, and additional info sections such as file format and file license with your customers, inventory and shipping settings, including whether you wish to track this digital product's inventory or not, status, SKU, and shipping weight, toggle whether you wish to show this digital download in your online store or not, select which collections this digital download will appear in, or even click to create a new collection, promote this digital download by creating a coupon, creating promo video, sending an email campaign, sharing the product or editing the SEO settings.
If you plan on creating more than one digital product to sell in your Wix online store, click on the three little dots up top to save and duplicate this digital product you just created. Once you're happy with how the digital file looks, click on 'save' on the top, right-hand side.

Now if we click on 'preview', and then click on the digital file you added to your Wix online store, you'll be able to click on the digital product, add it to your cart, and then checkout to sell digital downloads in Wix.
Remember, you'll need to upgrade to an eCommerce premium plan in order to sell digital downloads in Wix, but you can click on the link in the description box below to try it out for free.
