In this webinar tutorial, I’m going to show you how to do a webinar with Leadpages by creating a webinar registration page, thank you page and live page with my favorite landing page builder and lead gen software.

If you don’t have a Leadpages account yet, click here now to start your free 14-day trial. If you want to create a webinar for free using your website creation platform instead, make sure to watch my video on How To Create A Webinar For Free In 12 Minutes. The link to it is also in the description box below.

Although it’s important to create these 3 webinar pages, which are the backbone of your webinar, it’s also vital to have an epic webinar email sales funnel in place since over 50% of your webinar sales will be made AFTER the webinar is over.

To take what you learn today a step further, click here now to get my Webinar Sales Funnel Template. It’s a 90% done-for-you, step-by-step template with the exact subject lines, email structure, and copy that you need to create epic webinar sales funnels! With this template in hand, you’ll know everything you need to write in your webinar emails the days before, the day of, and the days after your webinar to skyrocket your webinar sales.

Alright, so let’s get into how to do a webinar with Leadpages. The first thing we’ll do is create a webinar registration page. To do so, after logging in to your Leadpages account, click on ‘landing pages’ from the menu up top, and then on the blue ‘create new landing page’ button on the right.

When prompted with ‘what would you like your landing page to do?’, click on ‘browse all templates’ at the bottom. From the dropdown menu that appears on the left, scroll all the way down and click on ‘webinar or virtual event’. Select a template from the available options to customize. I’m going to choose the ‘Educational Webinar Page’ template by clicking on it, and then on ‘use this template’ on the top right.

Name your page so that it reflects what your webinar is about, and then click on continue. You can customize each element on the page from its individual toolbar. From the left hand-side panel you can also edit the page layout, add widgets, define your page style and add page tracking. To go into each of these settings in more detail, make sure to watch my video on How To Use Leadpages To Create A Landing Page.

Once you’ve edited your page elements to look the way you wish, it’s time to integrate Leadpages with your email marketing software so that you can capture your webinar registrants. If you click on this ‘save my spot’ button, and then on the link option, you’ll notice that it connects to a popup form. Go ahead and click on ‘edit’. From here you can customize your popup form by adding any widget of your choice, and edit each element on the popup from its individual toolbar .

To connect this email form to your email marketing provider, click on it, and follow the steps that appear on the left-hand side of the screen. To add a new integration to your email marketing platform, click on ‘add an integration’, and then on ‘more services’. Follow the steps that appear to add your email marketing platform to Leadpages. Since mine has already been connected, I’ll just go ahead and click on it, and then select the form that you created for your webinar. Once you’re done, click on ‘next - fields’.

This is where you can choose the information you want your visitors to fill out. I always add name and email. To customize its individual settings, click on the downward pointing arrow next to it, and edit its label, placeholder text, default value, URL mapping, custom validation message, and toggle whether this is a hidden field or not. Once you’ve finished making edits, click on ‘done’. To add a new field if you so wish, click on ‘add a field’, and select a field of your choice. If you want the name field to appear above the email field, click on the upward pointing arrow on the left-hand side next to first name. To change the font, size and color of the labels, click inside the fillable form, and edit what you wish from the individual toolbar that appears. Once you’re done, click on ‘next- actions’.

This is where you’ll define what will happen after someone signs up. You can send them to a default leadpages thank you page, to another landing page, which is what we’ll do after creating the webinar thank you page, to an external URL, or have your visitors remain on the page. We’ll leave it as that for the time being. Click on ‘save & close’, and then ‘publish’ on the top, right-hand corner to make your page active.

Now let’s create the webinar thank you page. Close the ‘your lead page is published’ popup, and click on the Leadpages logo on the top left of your screen to return to your Leadpages dashboard. Now click on the blue ‘create new landing page’ button on the right.

Again, when prompted with ‘what would you like your landing page to do?’, click on ‘browse all templates’ at the bottom. From the dropdown menu that appears on the left, scroll down and select ‘thank you’. Choose a template from the available options to customize. I’m going to choose the ‘Leadershíp Webinar Registration Confirmation’ template by clicking on it, and then on ‘use this template’ on the top right.

Name your page so that it reflects what your webinar is about, and then click on continue. Just like you did with the webinar registration page, you can customize each element on the page from its individual toolbar, and add or customize elements from the left-hand side menu. Once you’ve finished making edits, click on ‘publish’ on the top, right-hand corner to make your page active.

Now let’s link your webinar thank you page to your webinar registration page, so that those you sign up for your webinar are automatically redirected to this page. Close the ‘your lead page is published’ popup, click on the Leadpages logo on the top left of your screen to return to your Leadpages dashboard, and click on the ‘edit’ button on your webinar registration page.

Click on the ‘save my spot’ button, then on the link option, and then on ‘edit’. Click on the opt-in form to access its customization options, and click on ‘next - fields’, and then on ‘next - actions’. We had previously selected ‘remain on page’, so let’s change that to ‘landing page’. Select the ‘webinar thank you page’ you created, and then press ‘save & close’. Remember to ‘update’ your page on the top right to make these changes active.

Lastly, let’s create the live webinar page. Click on the Leadpages logo on the top left of your screen to return to your Leadpages dashboard, and then on the blue ‘create new landing page’ button on the right.

By now you know the drill. When prompted with ‘what would you like your landing page to do?’, click on ‘browse all templates’ at the bottom. Where it says ‘search page templates’, search for ‘video’, and then press return. Choose a template from the available options to customize. I’m going to choose the ‘Video Sales Page 3’ template by clicking on it, and then on ‘use this template’ on the top right.

Name your page so that it reflects what your webinar is about, and then click on continue. Just like you did with the webinar registration and thank you pages, you can customize each element on the page from its individual toolbar, and add or customize elements from the left-hand side menu.

One thing I like to do is add a countdown timer, with some text that mentions that this webinar replay expires soon. You can set the date and time to when the replay expires, and have this page automatically redirect to your sales page, for instance, by clicking on the ‘clock’ icon from the countdown’s individual toolbar, then on ‘external URL’, pasting your sales page link in the space provided, and then on save.

Now let’s add your webinar video to this section, so that those who access this page can watch your webinar live or your webinar replay. We’ll use YouTube to create our webinar video. On YouTube, click on your channel’s icon on the top, right-hand side, and then on ‘YouTube studio’. On the left-hand-side panel, click on ‘creator studio classic’, and then on ‘skip’ from the popup that appears.

Under ‘live streaming’ on the left-hand side menu, click on ‘events’. On the top, right-hand side, click on ‘new live event’. Add your webinar’s title, date and time, and click on the dropdown on the right, which starts with ‘public’, and change it to ‘unlisted’. Once you’re done making edits, click on ‘create event’ on the bottom, right-hand side.

To get the webinar link to add it to our live webinar page, click on ‘start hangout on air’. Don’t worry, you won’t be live once you hit that button. You’ll notice that a popup will appear. Once it loads, click on ‘links’ on the bottom, right-hand side, and copy the ‘video embed’ code. Now back on our live webinar page on Leadpages, click on the video, paste the code from YouTube in the space provided, and then on ‘save’. You’ll notice that your video now appears on the screen.

Also remember to link the button at the bottom of your webinar video to your sales page by clicking on it, selecting the link icon from its individual toolbar, and then clicking on ‘link to an external URL’, pasting your sales page link in the space provided, and then pressing save. Once you’ve finished making edits, click on ‘publish’ on the top, right-hand corner to make your page active.

To share the live webinar page with the webinar registrants, just share the link to this page we just created in your webinar emails. If you want to boost your webinar sign up rate, increase the number of people who show up live, and skyrocket your sales from webinars, make sure to click here now to get the Webinar Sales Funnel Template!

It’s a 90% done-for-you, step-by-step template with the exact subject lines, email structure, and copy that you need to create epic webinar sales funnels. Get this plug-and-play template now, and create a sales funnel that you can use again and again in the months and years to come to undoubtedly skyrocket your webinar sales.

Once you’re ready to go live, on the day and time of the webinar, on YouTube’s creator studio classic, click on ‘events’ from the left-hand side panel, and then on ‘start hangout on air’. Once the popup opens, click on the green ‘start broadcast’ button at the bottom to go live.
