Wondering how to create a Pinterest business account? In this Pinterest business account tutorial, you'll learn how to use Pinterest for business to boost your Pinterest marketing efforts. So let's get right into this Pinterest tutorial on Pinterest marketing strategy so that you can better understand the differences between Pinterest personal vs Pinterest business.
When you set up a free Pinterest business account, you're able to get access to analytics on your pins and the ability to run ads. There are 3 ways that you can create a Pinterest business account: you can create a new Pinterest business account that’s not connected to any other Pinterest accounts, you can create a Pinterest business account that’s linked to your personal account and easily switch between accounts, and you can convert your Pinterest personal account into a Pinterest business account.
Today I'll be showing you how to set up a Pinterest personal account and transform that into a Pinterest business account, as well as how to create a free Pinterest business account. To create a Pinterest personal account, head over to Pinterest.com, and then click on 'sign up' from the top, right-hand side.
Enter your email address, create a password, and enter your age, and then click on the 'continue' button. Click on 'next' and select how you identify: female, male or specify another. Select your language and country/region from the dropdown menus. I’ll select English (US) and United States, and then click on ‘next’. Select 5 or more topics of interest, and then click on 'done', and then on ‘done’ again.
Now that you've successfully created a Pinterest personal account, let me show you how to transform this into a Pinterest business account. From the top-right of your screen, click the directional chevron down icon, and then click on 'settings'.
From the left-hand side panel, click on 'account settings'. Scroll down to 'account changes', and
under account changes, locate where it says 'convert to a business account', and then click on 'convert account'. Click on ‘upgrade’ to upgrade to a free Pinterest business account and gain access to the ads manager, insights and analytics, and credits and offers.
Fill out the fields to build your profile, including profile name, do you have a website, country and region, and language, and then click on 'next'. Fill out the fields to describe your business, including what’s the focus of your brand and what are your goals, and then click on 'next'.
Describe your business to get customized recommendations based on your details, and then click on ‘next’.
Select if you want to run ads, and then click 'next'. Lastly, to finish the transition from Pinterest personal account to Pinterest business account, select where you’d like to start, share ideas, grow your audience or showcase your brand, or click the x icon to go to your converted Pinterest business account.
If you wish to create a Pinterest business account from the start, rather than convert a Pinterest personal account into a Pinterest business account, head over to Pinterest.com, and then click on 'sign up' from the top, right-hand side. Instead of filling out the fields in the popup that appears, click on 'create a free business account' at the bottom.
Enter your email address, create a password, and enter your age, and then click on 'create account'. Fill out the fields to build your profile, including profile name, do you have a website, country or region and language, and then click on 'next'.
Fill out the fields to describe your business, including what’s the focus of your brand and what are your goals, and then click on 'next'. Describe your business to get customized recommendations based on your details, and then click on ‘next’.
Select if you want to run ads, and then click on 'next'. Lastly, select where you'd like to start, share ideas, grow your audience or showcase your brand, or click the x icon to go to your new Pinterest business account.
