Photoshop Tips And Tricks For Beginners: Best Photoshop Hacks For Easy And Fast Photoshop Editing

In this Photoshop tutorial, I’m going to show you how to edit a Photoshop image. You’ll learn a number of Photoshop photo editing and photo manipulation tools, such as how to edit image text, edit image color, edit image size and edit background image with Photoshop.

In this Photoshop tutorial, I’m going to show you how to edit a Photoshop image using Pixlr Editor, which is a free Photoshop alternative, so that you can edit image text, edit image color, edit image size and edit background image using Photoshop.

To edit a Photoshop image using Pixlr Editor, go to https://pixlr.com/editor/ and click on 'continue with Pixlr Editor'. Once that loads, click on 'open image from computer', locate the .pxd image you want to edit, and then click on 'open'.

Each element on the image (text, picture, background) is a different layer (see 'layers' tab on the right). You can check or un-check the checkboxes to make the layer apparent or invisible, and reorder the layers to reorder the elements on your page (the layers that are on top appear above the other elements on the image). When you wish to edit a particular layer, make sure you click on it first.

To reposition a layer, click on it, and then select 'the move tool' (the cursor with arrows on the left panel). Click and drag the element that corresponds to the layer to change its location.

Say you want to change the 'in 5 days' piece of text (Photoshop edit image text). Select that layer (it will change to blue once you do), and then the 'type tool' (the letter A on the left panel), and click above the 'in 5 days' piece of text. A popup will appear where you can edit the text, font, size, style, color and alignment. Once you're done making changes, press 'ok'.

To change the color of an element (Photoshop edit image color), such as the blue background (Layer 1), select that layer, and then click on the 'paint bucket tool' (the paint bucket on the left panel). To pick a color, click on the black square at the bottom of the left panel, and you'll notice the 'color selector' popup will appear. Change the color to the one you wish, and then press 'ok'. You'll notice that your cursor will change into a paint bucket. Just press anywhere on the screen to change the color of the background to the one of your choice.

If you wish to change the intensity of the color, so that it has a different level of opacity, locate the 'layers' tab on the right, and select the 'toggle layer settings' button (it's the first one on the left in the 'layers' tab). From there you can change the level of opacity of your layer, as well as its mode (a kind of effect you can add to the layer).

To change the background image (Layer 2) to another one of your choice, select that layer, and then click on 'layer' from the menu up top, and on 'open image as layer' (Photoshop edit background image). Locate the image you wish to use as a background from your files, and then select 'open'. Remember, you can always hide an element (such as the current background - Layer 2) by un-checking the checkbox next to it, or delete it altogether by selecting the layer you wish to delete, and then clicking on the 'trash can' in the bottom-right of the 'layers' tab.

You'll notice that the image will appear as your background but, depending on its size, you'll have to edit it further so that it looks the way you wish (Photoshop edit image size). To resize the new background image, click on 'edit' from the menu up top, and on 'free transform' (this same process is applicable to any element you wish to resize). Little squares will now surround your image. Click and drag them so that your background image looks the way you want. Once you're done making edits, press 'enter'.

Once you're happy with how your new image looks, and you wish to download it, click on 'file' from the menu up top, and on 'save'. A 'save image' popup will appear. Rename your image to what you wish. It's also best to save your new image in two formats: PXD so that you can edit it again in the future using Pixlr Editor, and either JPEG or PNG so that you can use it on your website, on your blog, in emails, on social media, or wherever else you desire.

And that’s it! Now you know how to edit a Photoshop image using Pixlr Editor, which is a free Photoshop alternative, so that you can create beautiful customized graphics.
