There are a number of ways that you can download from Canva.
The first way is to download recent designs. All you have to do is ensure that you're on your Canva homepage, locate the "Recent Design" section, hover your mouse over the Canva design you want to download, click on the three little dots on the top right-hand side, click on "Download," and then select the file type (either JPG, PNG, PDF Standard, PDF Print, SVG, MP4 Video, GIF, or PPTX). Select the size, toggle whether you want to have a transparent background or not, as well as compress the file to lower quality or not, and then click on "Download."
Another way to download from Canva is to click on "Projects" from the left-hand side panel. Under "Designs" up top, locate the Canva design you want to download, and just as before, click on the three little dots on the top right-hand side, click on "Download," select the file type, size, toggle whether you want to have a transparent background or not, as well as compress the file to lower quality or not, and then click on "Download."
Yet another way you can download from Canva is directly from within the Canva editor. Just click on a design to open it up, click on "Share" on the top right-hand side, click on "Download," and just as we've been doing before, select the file type from the drop-down menu and, since this is an MP4 video, select the quality as well as whether you wish to save download settings, and then click on "Download" to save your Canva design to your computer.
Let's head back to the Canva homepage so that I can show you yet another way to download from Canva. If you've created a Canva design a while back, you can use the Canva search bar to locate one of your older designs. For example, let's search for "Canva download," click on "Projects," and select one of the designs I've created from the options that pop up. Just as we were doing before, click on "Share" on the top right-hand side, click on "Download," and then select the file type, the options that appear, and then click on "Download."
One thing that's interesting to note is that depending on the file type that you choose, these options here at the bottom will change. Let's go through each of them:
If you choose JPG, which is best for sharing, you can then select the size, quality, select the pages to download, and whether you wish to save download settings or not.
If you choose PNG, which is best for complex images and illustrations, you can then choose the size, select whether you want to save the image with a transparent background or not, compress the file to a lower quality or not, select the pages to download, as well as save the download settings.
If you choose PDF Standard, which is best for documents and emailing, you can then select whether you wish to flatten the PDF or not, include notes or not, select the pages to download, and choose whether you want to save download settings or not.
If you choose PDF Print, which is best for printing, you can then select whether you wish to add crop marks and bleed, flatten the PDF, include notes, select the pages to download, choose the color profile, as well as whether you wish to save download settings or not.
If you choose SVG, which is best for web design and animations, you can then select whether you want your image to have a transparent background or not, select the pages to download, as well as whether you wish to save download settings or not.
If you choose MP4 Video, which is a high-quality video, you can then select the quality, select the pages to download, whether you want to download pages as separate files, in addition to save download settings or not.
If you choose GIF, which is a short clip with no sound, you can then select the size, the pages you want to download, choose whether you want to download pages as separate files, in addition to save download settings or not.
Just as before, once you've chosen all of the download settings, click on "Download" at the bottom to save your Canva design to your computer.
