In this video, I'm going to show you how to change your website's name in Wix. In my case, I'll be changing it from "My Site One" to "My Awesome Website." To do so, head over to your site's dashboard in Wix. Locate the website you want to change the name of and then click on the three little dots on the bottom right-hand side of that website to access its site's actions. From the menu that appears, click on "Rename Site."
Over here, you can see what your current site name is. To change your website's name in Wix, just change that to whatever you wish. In my case, "My Awesome Website." Then, click on "Save" on the bottom right-hand side.
If you wish to change the title of your website on Google and in browser tabs, you have to go to your website's editor. So let's click on that to make those changes. Your Wix website editor will appear on a new tab and open up directly into your site's page settings of your home page.
In order to change the title tag of that page, scroll down over the "SEO Basics" section until you reach the "Title Tags" section, and then change the title in search results title to whatever you wish.
Once you've changed the title tag, make sure to click on "Publish" on the top right-hand side to make your changes active. You can also change the title tag of the other pages on your website. Let me show you how to do that from your Wix editor.
First, click on the "Pages" dropdown menu on the top left-hand side, and then on "Manage Pages" at the bottom. Locate the page you want to change the title tag of, click on the three little dots, and then on "SEO Basics." Just as before, scroll down until you reach the title tag and change that to whatever you wish.
Make sure to click on "Publish" on the top right-hand side again to make your changes active for the editor as well as save on your Wix site's dashboard. When we head back over to our website and click on "Refresh," you can view up top that your Wix website's name has, in fact, been changed.
