How To Share Wix Website To Edit

To share your Wix's website with someone else so that they can edit your Wix's website alongside you or even instead of you, access your Wix site editor and then click on settings from the panel up top.

Select roles and permissions, and then click on invite collaborators up top. In this section, you'll be able to invite people to collaborate on the site and set their rules and permissions.

The first thing you need to do is include the email address of the person you want to edit your Wix's website, so let's go ahead and do that. If you'd like to add multiple invitees, enter each name separated by a comma.

You can add up to 10 emails at the same time. Now, scrolling down in this collaborators page, you'll be able to select one or more roles for the people you're inviting.

Since we want to invite someone to edit your Wix's website, select the website designer option, where the person will be able to edit the site, manage settings, and apps, but cannot access inbox contacts and other sensitive information. If you wish to give that person another role instead, feel free to take a look at all of these available options on the collaborator page.

If you don't find what you're looking for, you can also create a custom role by picking and choosing the permissions to suit your needs. Once you're happy with a role you've chosen for your invite key, click on send invite.

A pop-up will appear asking you to let Wix know how you're connected. This will help them give them the right experience.

The options include this invite is for a client, an agency or freelancer, a colleague at my business, or someone else. Let's select an agency or freelancer and then click done.

As you can see, the invitation was sent successfully. At the moment, this invite is pending, so let's head over to this email and see what the person on the other end will receive once you've invited them to edit your website.

This over here is the email I received after someone requested that I edit their Wix's website. It says you're invited to collaborate on a Wix website.

This particular user has invited you to get started on this particular URL. Once you accept, you'll be able to contribute based on your assigned role and permissions and access the site from my sites.

In order for this person to start successfully editing your Wix's website, they need to click on accept invite. From there, they'll be able to access your Wix's website and make any edits to it as they please.

Heading back to this roles and permissions section, you can also click on the three little dots to change the person's role, resend the invite in case they didn't receive it, get the invitee's link, or even remove them if you don't want them to edit your Wix's website further.
