How To Add Whatsapp To Wix Website 2026 | Wix Whatsapp Integration | Wix Whatsapp Chat

I'm first going to show you how to add WhatsApp to Wix to the mobile version of your website.



To do so, head over to your Wix site editor and then click to switch into the mobile version of your site. Once you're here, click on the three little dots on the bottom right to access the quick action bar. Click on setup quick actions on the left. Click on more actions at the bottom and then select WhatsApp.


Hover over the WhatsApp action and click on the show more icon, which is these three little dots over here on the right. Click on setup and enter your phone number in the space provided with the country and area code. Once you're done doing so, click on done at the bottom.


Now, let's head over to the desktop version so I can show you how to link a button on your Wix website to your WhatsApp.


To do so, click on add elements from the left- hand side panel. Click on button and then add a button of your choice. For example, you can select an icon button and then select this one over here which has a phone number. Make sure that you add it to the right section of your page.


From its individual toolbar, click the link icon and then click on web address. You can either create a link that opens a WhatsApp conversation with no automated message the visitor can send or you can create an automated message that visitors can send as WhatsApp opens.


To create a link without a message, you'll enter in the space provided https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=<number>. Instead of including this over here, you will actually provide the number of your WhatsApp, including the area code and country code. Make sure to omit any zeros, brackets, or dashes when adding the phone number.


If you want to create a link with a custom message instead, you will insert this URL over here, which is https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=<number>To include a message, add &text=your message. Again, you'll enter the phone number in this space over here. You will enter the text you want to include in the custom message. To include spaces within the message, make sure to add this percentage and 20 sign between each word.


Let's copy this first option, paste it in the space provided, substitute this number over here to the actual number, and then click on done at the bottom.


Once you're done adding WhatsApp to your Wix website, make sure to click on publish on the top right hand side to make your changes active.
