How To Add Google Domain To Wix Website

To add a Google domain to your Wix website, head over to your site's dashboard and then click on Settings from the left-hand side panel. Click on Domains and then, up top, click on Add an Existing Domain. Click on Connect a Domain You Already Own. In the space provided, enter the web address you want for your site and then click on Let's Go.

As you can see, this domain name is already in use. If it's yours, click on Yes, I Own This Domain. Wix will then find your domain provider, in our case, Google Domains. This can take up to 30 seconds—don't refresh that page. All you need to do to connect that domain to your website is update your domain settings to make your web address direct to your site. Wix will guide you on how to do this step by step. Just scroll down this page and click on Start.

All you need to do is follow the steps. Step one is to log into your domain provider, in our case, Google Domains. Open a new tab in your browser, go to your domain provider's site, and log in. Then come back here for the next step. Once you have logged in to your domain provider, click on I Logged In.

Then, find your domain settings page on your domain provider's site. Go to the domain's page, find the domain, and go to its control panel or settings panel. Find where you manage the domain settings. Look for a button or link with the words Manage, Manage Settings, Domain Settings, or something similar. Once you've found your domain settings page, click on I Found My Domain Settings.

Then, find your name servers in your domain settings. Look for the area where you manage or edit name server records. This area could be called DNS Settings, Name Servers, or something similar. If you don't see it immediately, try looking for a menu at the top or on the side of the page. Find your name servers—they will look like this. Once you've found your name servers, click on I Found the Name Servers.

Then, on your domain provider's site, replace your current name servers with the Wix name servers below, one at a time. You'll need to remove these name servers and add these Wix name servers. Now you should have two name server records. If you have others, just remove them. Save your changes. Once you've replaced your name servers, click on I've Replaced My Name Servers.

Wix will then verify your connection. This can take up to 30 seconds, and it can take up to 48 hours to check the connection details. Wix will update you and anyone with domain permissions by the end of the day on a certain date. You can also track your domain connection status on the domain's page. Let's click on Track Domain Status.

As you can see over here, Wix is checking a Google domain connection. Once the domain has been connected, this option over here will be toggled to On. Once the site is worldwide, this option over here will also be toggled to On.
